Biking for MS

For the last four out of five years we have gone to Logan for the annual Bike MS Utah event.
Looking forward to painful feet, numb hands, sore seat, and afternoon heat?
No, but we sure like to be together and we like to support MS research.

We got a later start than in past years so we left in the fourth wave of riders.

The day was beautiful, the weather pleasantly warm (at first),
no breeze (until later), and the scenery was gorgeous!

The flowers along the road and in the fields and mountains were beautiful
because of the nice wet spring we've enjoyed.
Isn't that a great barn?

We had just finished lunch and had a nice visit with Michelle before we got back on the road.

Hi Michelle.  It was nice talking with you.

There were over 3700 riders this year.

We rode 75 miles in just a little over five hours riding time.
Not bad for no training.  Darrell had only been on his bike twice.
I had been on mine a bit more.
It was a satisfying, hard, yet amazingly enjoyable thing to do.
We like to look for our names on the ever expanding poster of riders.
We didn't take the time to put up the colored sticker that indicates how many years we've been riding.
We hope to do this again next year.

Great job, Mom and Dad! It was so much fun talking with you on the phone! Glad I could be a part of it in some small way. ;)
